After riding in officer Victor Lozada's 100 motorcycle funeral procession ... the Lewisville Police Department disbanded their 3 - bike motorcycle patrol. This a year after the Flower Mound, Texas police department did the same.
A lot of cities in Texas are looking at scaling back or eliminating motorcycle squads. Some say they are ... "too dangerous." I certainly understand why police departments are looking at this ... but in perspective ... don't officers get hurt in cars also. I think about the deaths of many officers in the exploding Crown Vics.
News reports say that the Lewisville motorcycle officers are not at all happy about their departments decision to 86 their bikes. I probably would not either.
Our heart and prayers go out to Officer Lozada's family in their loss and tragedy.

Both car and motorcycle can cause accident or dangerous for policemen. There's no difference between this two. I prefer motor-bike than a car for police patrol
